I know I'm utilizing "older" HD technology, but I think it would be awesome if LittleBigPlanet supported 1080i resolution along with the 720p.  My TV unfortunately cannot display 720p, so it downgrades the signal to 480p (not really high definition).  I'm sure the game looks stunning in high-def, but in 480p it just looks okay.

What does everyone else think?

Just to clarify... This is NOT A 720p versus 1080i thread.  

well, i know my tv supports 1080i and it seems to have these moments when the graphics on ym ps3 look sharper, but i dont know what it downgrades it to when they dont look as nice because it doesnt say so maybe thats why i notice a difference because it downgrades to 480p or w/e.

Anyway, all i can say is to check your tv manual and see if there is any way of changing it manually. Hope that helps a little.

Although I understand everyones request for 1080p support, that is not what this post is about.  I'm just requesting 1080i support.  It's very similar to 720p in graphic quality, and there are many games which already support 1080i.  

There was a point when I thought that developers were finally getting 1080i into every game, but now that the fall rush has started I'm seeing more and more games that only support 720p.  This can be patched, Burnout did it a couple of months ago. 

I'm not going to allow this to die... at least not yet!  1080i support would be a nice add .
