So you consider yourself a fashionista of the LittleBigPlanet? And yet you can't find that one outfit that you've seen everybody else wearing? Then perhaps this guide will help you to find your elusive outfit. First things first! Downloadable Content
Some of the more popular clothing options cannot even be found in LittleBigPlanet's Story Mode, so your first stop will be to check out the LittleBigStore from your control panel in your Pod. Here you'll find a wide-range of clothing for all tastes, so be sure to check it out first.
Now the bad news... Some of the downloadable content from the LittleBigStore was time-limited and therefore won't show up on the LittleBigStore for you, so you may have missed your chance to purchase those.
However! All is not lost! The seasonal holiday costumes will be released annually during the appropriate time of year, so if you keep an eye out for them, you may just get them yet.
Even though the seasonal holiday costumes will be released annually, there's still a few very rare costumes that are either never going to released again or will be that bit more challenging to obtain. Rare Week 1 T-Shirt Now the really bad news... The following costume is never likely to make a re-appearance:
Rare Week 1 T-Shirt This outfit was released to celebrate the release and first week of LittleBigPlanet and therefore isn't likely to be seen again. On top of that the Week 1 T-Shirt was exclusive to Europe, Japan and Asia. So only a fraction of players were ever able to purchase it. The world of fashion can certainly be cruel. Rare LittleBigPlanet PSP Launch T-Shirt Unfortunately the Rare LittleBigPlanet PSP Launch T-Shirt is another outfit that will never see a release again. This T-Shirt was released for one week only to celebrate the launch of LittleBigPlanet PSP! Thankfully unlike the Week 1 T-Shirt though, it saw a global release and was made available for that one week in all regions. It is however unavailable anymore, so if you haven't already got it, you're sadly out of luck this time around. Spacesuit Costume The Spacesuit Costume is pretty exceptional too. Unlike the other time-limited DLC, it isn't connected to a specific date on the calendar.
This particular costume is used to commemorate the launch of LittleBigPlanet, meaning that we may only see it when a new LittleBigPlanet game is released or at a push, to celebrate the anniversary of a LittleBigPlanet release. However neither is particularly certain, all I can say is that if you do happen to see this particular costume available for download from the LittleBigStore, make sure that you download it right away and get this popular costume piece added to your collection right away! Rare Beta Test Vest Now we're moving onto those rare DLC costumes that you can earn with your participation amongst the LittleBigPlanet community!
First up! The Rare Beta Test Vest! Occassionally the folks over at Sony and Media Molecule will want to develop and release particularly amazing new content for LittleBigPlanet. Online Create and Water being two very good examples. However before they release such goodies to the masses, they first ask a select number to help them beta test the new content. The chance to play with and test new content for LittleBigPlanet should be reward enough for some! It seems though that Sony and Media Molecule doesn't agree though and for your participation alone, you will be awarded this particularly noteworthy piece of DLC, which should help you stand out amongst your fellow Sackboys and Sackgirls on LittleBigPlanet. How do you get selected for a LittleBigPlanet beta test, you ask? Very good question... Your best bet would be to keep an eye on LittleBigPlanet.com and this very forum for any announcements of an upcoming beta test. Of course, if you become an active part of the community on this forum. You may find yourself lucky enough to be handpicked by Sony and Media Molecule because they feel that you would be an excellent tester. Generally though, just keep an eye out for news of upcoming beta tests and if there's a chance to apply, make sure you do so! Rare Beta Bug Blaster Costume Now this is something extra special! If you're lucky enough to be accepted into a LittleBigPlanet beta, it would be appreciated by Sony and Media Molecule, if you took the time to report bugs and feedback on the new developments that you're testing.
Infact if you take the time to report a good number of bugs and give some quality feedback of your testing experience, the happy gadders at Sony and Media Molecule will be even happier and for being so helpful they will award you with the Rare Beta Bug Blaster Costume! There may be others ways to earn yourself a Rare Beta Bug Blaster Costume within a LittleBigPlanet Beta Test, however I'll let you find out for yourself exactly how, when you're fortunate enough to find yourself the participant of a LittleBigPlanet Beta Test. Rare Prize Crown Finally before I move off of downloadable content. There's one more honourable mention remaining... And I do mean honourable!
That would be the Rare Prize Crown. This is a very rare piece of clothing that is only handed out by Sony and Media Molecule themselves to a very select few, for details on how to try and get one for yourself look here: Sack it to Me - How To Get Crowned LittleBigPlanet Competitions LittleBigChallenges If you enter any of the Competitions or LittleBigChallenges, may I be the first to say Good Luck! For anyone interested in purchasing some downloadable content to dress your Sackperson in, you should definitely check out this official listing of all the DLC currently available for LittleBigPlanet, which will give you information on release dates, pricing and current availability: LittleBigPlanet - PS3 Downloadable Content Well my fashion friend, that's downloadable content well and truly covered. So let's begin with searching the LittleBigPlanet itself... Story Mode

The various costume pieces that create the Cannibal Costume are scattered around this scene, simply pick them all up to give yourself the individual costume pieces. It's also worth mentioning that with the Pirates of the Caribbean Level Kit, we're introduced to Prize Bubbles that contain complete outfits, which upon collection will add the entire compiled outfit to your "Outfits" category within your Customise Character menu, meaning that you don't even need to go to the effort of piecing the costume set together yourself anymore. To collect the complete Cannibal Costume set to add to your Outfits category, proceed further into the level until you pass the 4x player area, carry on past the next Checkpoint and you should clearly see the Cannibal costume's Prize Bubble on-screen, it's quite hard to miss it during playthrough of the level. Soldier Hat
This classic soldier's helmet can be found in the 3x player area of The Bunker in The Wilderness theme. This particular multiplayer area is one of the more hidden areas, since you don't pass it due a straight playthrough of The Bunker. To find it, you need to playthrough The Bunker until you get outside and past the two spinning wheels with the Challenge Key between them. Once past both wheels, you're actually able to jump up onto the snow material in the background and head left to a couple of hidden areas. Firstly you'll find a Sticker Switch puzzle for some more Prize Bubbles, however if you continue even further left, you will reach The Bunker's 2x/3x player area, which contains the Soldier Hat in it. Teddy Sackboy
To get this cute little counterpart to carry around with you everywhere, just complete the 2x player area challenge in the Elephant Temple level found in The Temples theme. Trainers This popular footwear costume piece can be found in the 2x player area of The Magician's Palace.
To reach this area though, you will have to complete the Building Blocks challenge by surviving this trap to until you reach the top. The pattern that the blocks fall changes with each play, however the pattern will remain the same throughout a single playthrough, so whilst avoiding being crushed, watch the order that the 3 blocks fall and then use this knowledge to help you survive the trap and climb out of the top, at which point you can head left to the 2x player area. Complete this 2x player area challenge to claim your Trainers.
Yellow Head To get this rather cool looking 2D costume of Sackboy's early prototype, you have to Ace your final confrontation with The Collector. Sorry, I never said that collecting all the costumes would be easy. Zebra Costume
This is a themed outfit for The Savannah. Found near the beginning of The Burning Forest. Zombie Brain This costume piece can be found in the 2x player area of Serpent Shrine, in The Canyons theme.
One final very important mention... Secret Hidden Costume Glitch Glowing Skeleton Costume Important Update The glitch for unlocking this costume has been removed since the recent 1.21 update for LittleBigPlanet, known as Leerdammer. If you had previously saved the costume though, you will still be able to use it. If you would still like to acquire this costume, you will pretty much need to delete your Game Data for LittleBigPlanet to remove all the patches from the game. Restart the game and make sure not to update the game, perform the glitch as detailed below, save the costume and then proceed to update your game again. Needless to say, it's a very drastic method for acquiring the costume and shouldn't be done unless you know exactly what you're doing before you begin to delete your LittleBigPlanet save files. Of course if in doubt, always make a backup of your Save Data before trying this, that way if all else fails, at least you can always retrieve your Save Data. At least you get to put LittleBigPlanet's recently added Save and Backup functionality to good use though. This costume is not found in a prize bubble or given as a reward. It's not even downloadable content from the LittleBigStore.
To get this hidden costume material simply follow these steps: - Start an offline single player game.
- Reset your Sackboy's costume to its naked default.
- Find an electric hazard.
- Touch the electric hazard.
- Now whilst you're being eletrocuted, keep pausing the game until you can see your poor Sackperson's skeleton behind the pause menu.
- Once you can see their skeleton, hold down the PS Button and Turn Off The Controller.
- When prompted turn the controller back on and you'll be returned to your last checkpoint, if all went to plan, you should now be the proud owner of a Glowing Skeleton costume.
- Save it! Now you can access your brand new costume from your Popit whenever you like, you can even dress it up like any other normal costume material.
That's it for now! That hidden costume rounds off our collection of costumes that are available within LittleBigPlanet.
As you can see there's plenty of costumes out there and you've got your work cut out for you! Not forgetting that Sackboys and Sackgirls can customise their costumes even further, so feel free to experiment and maybe you'll even be able to design your own trendy one of a kind outfit. Hopefully you'll soon be able to build an amazing collection of costumes for your Sackperson and you'll be able to stand out proudly above all the fashion victims of the LittleBigPlanet. ___________________________________________________________________________________
This guide is very much a work in progress, in the sense that I'll update it with any regular requests that I see on the forums which aren't already in the guide. Some of you might also notice that I've not used the official names for some of the costume sets or their pieces. This is because I've replaced them with more simple, descriptive words that I feel help describe the costume better than the official name, so that they are easier to find in the guide for somebody that doesn't necessarily know the official name.
