THE DARK 3
AUTHOR: xboxkiller4life
DIFFICULTY: [Medium]
POSITIVES: Certain parts of the level I really liked. For instance, the part where the devil comes up and says something akin to "I'm sending you to a deeper level of hell" and then gas comes and kills you, transporting you to another area, was cool. Particular parts of the level redeem the bad parts of the level, somewhat at least. The obstacles were pretty good. I especially liked the moving-fire-blocks-hanging-from-platforms-you-then
NEGATIVES: The decoration and attention to detail was inconsistent at best. Sometimes it was too dark to see. Some of the puzzles were especially perplexing, like the ones in the elevators. You couldn't really figure out what to do a lot of times. The polish was just not up to par, really.
NITPICKS: Some dark matter was showing; cover it up! Also, after the gas-devil part, where the checkpoint dropped you out you could switch to the first plane and easily get on top of the level's structure.
SUGGESTIONS: Pay a little more attention to detail and decoration. The beginning title was nice, but if it comes at the sacrifice of more decoration, I'll gladly take more decoration. The visible dark matter was sloppy. Clearer instructions on puzzles, while not spelling the solution out, are in order.

THE UNFAIR PLATFORMER
AUTHOR: Dr_Vab
DIFFICULTY: [Extreme] (Don't worry)
POSITIVES: I loved this level. The sarcastic signs that popped up when you did something wrong were actually hilarious. The traps were funny and ingenious. Usually in any other level they would frustrate you to no end but they were really fun and enjoyable this time. This level is supposed to be hard and nigh impossible on the first time, and it turned out to be a fun, great experience. The decoration was consistently good throughout. The different sound effects helped as well.
NEGATIVES: There isn't too much bad to say about this level except that some players may get fed up with the impossible traps and give it a one-star. That's only players who didn't read the title and description, though. I guess I can say one more bad thing about it; it was too short.
NITPICKS: The material for the 'run-fast' lowering block was way out of theme with everything else.
SUGGESTIONS: Make a sequel. Maybe make the checkpoints more obvious, take the decorations off.
OVERALL RATING: 5/5 stars; hearted
NOTES: Play this level. It doesn't have nearly enough plays.

THE GREAT HUNT
AUTHOR: tha_con
DIFFICULTY: [Medium]
POSITIVES: I liked the level from start to end. The obstacles were pretty well thought-out. I escpecially liked the windmill and the shapes of the clouds; how did you get them so intricate? The level of decoration was good as well and fit the theme; that's important, because some level's decoration, even if there is a good amount, sometimes doesn't fit in completely with the storyline or gameplay. The music and sound effects were appropriate and adequate, respectively.
NEGATIVES: It was a little bit confusing with the sack idol. One or two times I lost it and couldn't get it back, and I wasn't sure whether to start over or keep going. The point is, I wasn't really sure whether I needed the idol or not. The goblin/gremlin thing told me I did but I never saw it actually do anything. Emitters can be a bit of a struggle if you haven't learned them yet, but they can replace an item that's necessary if a player loses it.
NITPICKS: The bosses or monsters at the end, you could just walk right on by. You'll probably want to fix that.
SUGGESTIONS: The windmill was difficult to get on top of (the moving platforms on the arms, I mean) in order to jump to the clouds. The automatic-plane-switching doesn't work if you just drop over them, you have to jump. I know it's not your fault, it's the system's fault, but maybe make the windmill speed slower. Also, make your level taller. I generally don't like it when you can see the ground/floor.
OVERALL RATING: 4/5 stars
NOTES: If this is your first or second effort, it's pretty good.

LITTLEBIGLONDON
AUTHOR: jamesrazor
DIFFICULTY: [Easy]
POSITIVES: This looks like your second effort and it's pretty good for a second effort. I recognized the landmarks and Big Ben was well done. You could have added some kind of sound effect to it though. The music was suitable. The cars were a nice addition--I recognized the black taxi from real life, it was pretty well replicated.
NEGATIVES: There's not a lot of decoration. It doesn't feel like a city. I'm making a city right now and I'm pouring a lot of effort into every little detail--ads, flashing lights, tall skyscrapers, you name it, I've got it. Put some thought and detail into your structures, backgrounds, and foregrounds. They were sadly lacking. The London bridge, I really had no idea what I was supposed to do and just kept going.
NITPICKS: I couldn't really find a reason for an underground bubble cave in a bustling metropolitan area.
SUGGESTIONS: Improve the gameplay. You were just running straight or riding in a vehicle for a good chunk of the level. Spice things up. Have us climb up skyscrapers, dodge falling power lines, something to break the monotony. Put more time and effort into detail and decoration.

NOTES: None.

ASSIGNMENT: HOUSEWORK
AUTHOR: brnxblze
DIFFICULTY: [Medium] to [Hard]
POSITIVES: I really liked this level. The decoration, while a little bit sparse in some areas, particularly the outside, was top-notch quality when it was present. And thankfully the sparse areas were few and far between. While you warned me about how there "wasn't any real gameplay", I actually beg to differ. I liked the idea of having to do chores. I hadn't ever seen or played a solely-based-on-chores level before. It was something I'd never seen before, so kudos to you for that. (Not site kudos, real kudos).
NEGATIVES: Some of the tasks were very obscure about what to do next. For example, in the kitchen, I kept wondering what the blue dissolve patches were, and couldn't figure it out. When the mop appeared, it almost looked like something broke. If you could have a text box with a cutscene camera on it to zoom in on the mop, that would be helpful.
NITPICKS: I don't know if the neighbor saying 'perv' would get you moderated or not...It's not that I care about the word (I mean, I've heard everything in my school), but the moderators might, well, moderate you for 'naughty language' or a little kid's parent might report you. Just a thought or warning--I don't want to see this level moderated!
SUGGESTIONS: Definitely improve the instructions or hints. The bedrooms were fine, since you included a picture or two with everything in the right place. But the kitchen was kind of confusing, the bedroom extremely confusing (I liked the notion of pulling out drawers but the hint camera pointed at the points instead), and it was a little vague in the bathroom that you had to drag the clothes over and then grab onto the circle in the shower to make it go, so to speak.

LBPinball: Golf
AUTHOR: daniel3ub [Hearted]
DIFFICULTY: [Medium]
POSITIVES: Overall this level was a quite challenging (just what I like). Considering that you mention some features are not there yet, it's still quite complete. Flippers worked like they should, and various sound effects were implemented well.
NEGATIVES: When I started the level it did give me a feeling of emptiness, as you began on a platform and there was nothing else (underneath). Dark matter was visible, and was a serious eyesore. The controls for the two flippers were clumsy and you usually grab the wrong switch (namely the ball release), when going for the flippers.
NITPICKS: At the actual pinball area there was a serious lack of decoration, namely the basic wood.
SUGGESTIONS:
- DARK MATTER - Consider making this smaller, or even decorate it. Anything to cover it up. While it's useful, it's certainly an eyesore.
- EMPTINESS - What I mean by this is that at the beginning of the level consider putting more material down so that you cannot see underneath the platform.
- DECORATION - Consider changing the wood to something more pleasing, as the basic wood just looks, well, bare.
CONTROLS - Consider using only one switch for the flippers, as at times you can easily grab the wrong switch = lost balls.
NOTES: While I do go on about things that could be modified/changed in this level, I still rated high as I see a lot of replay value and potential.

Evil Sorting Machine
AUTHOR: daniel3ub [Hearted]
DIFFICULTY: [Hard]
POSITIVES: Very challenging mini-game. Well thought out and the creepy music was a nice touch. Absolutely love the fact that you can unlock the making of tutorial, in which you get a look at a simple yet effective randomiser. Nice job with that. Nice addition of the ghost when you have spent too long sorting the boxes.
NEGATIVES: For what it's trying to be the darkness of the level does help with the theme of 'evil' but for some can be too dark to see what you are doing at times. Along with the darkness it can make the start button difficult to see.
NITPICKS: Can get frustrating getting the last box in place and this may turn some players off, and even give it low ratings. Although you do give enough warning in the level comments, some players don't even take the time to read them. Also where are the point bubbles? (see suggestions).
SUGGESTIONS:
- LIGHTING - Consider changing the lighting, as for some this may be too dark.
- START BUTTON - See if you can brighten this up to be more visible, as on my first play I never read the text bubble and spent a moment trying to find it.
- POINT BUBBLES - Consider implementing a machine that gives certain amount of point bubbles depending on how quick you manage to finish the sorting task. Well thats if you finish before the ghost gets you.
NOTES: While this is not for people who get frustrated easily, I would reccomend trying to complete it just so that you can look at what is going on behind-the-scenes.

Evil Sorting Machine - The making Of
Thought I would add this here as an incentive to complete the main level as there is some serious mind-boggling (well for me anyway) machinery working away, behind-the-scenes. And there are explanations on how these contraptions work.

Hey, thanks a lot for the VERY QUICK review! I've just posted it a few hour ago!
Regarding your comments, I was aware of most of them, and they are all in my todo list. Thanks anyway for pointing them!
About the controls issue: that was designed this way to add a little difficult AND allow two players gameplay. It's funny to play it with other sackboy, as each one can take care of one flipper. Even then, I'll try to think in other ways to control the flippers, but I wouldn't like to join them in just one control. Believe me, you can get used to it. The tip is: aways go all the way left or right, then grab ![]()

Re: The Evil Sorting Machine Review
Oh, yes, thanks for the hearts ![]()
thanks for the review and the comments.
The start button is realy hard to see. Can you think in any way to make it more visible?
Maybe I over-darkened the level. I'll try to make it more clear without loosing the "evil" look.
About the score bubbles: there really is a system designed to give you more points according to the speed you get to beat the machine, but you can only get the points IF you beat the machine. The more time you spend until beat it, the less points you will find when you get out the machine. The maximum points you can get are 140, if I remember correctly, but it's almost impossible to get this much, because you have to be VERY fast and VERY lucky. I tottally forgot to add this part to the tutorial :$
And I was already planning on making the blocks more easily manageable. Maybe tomorrow I'll update this issue, at least.
Thanks again, your feedback was very valuable!
(Erm, well, I think I souldn't post this replies in here, right? :$)

THE CREATURE
AUTHOR: Silverpanther
DIFFICULTY: [Medium]
POSITIVES: I definitely liked the decoration. It was plenty throughout and quality as well. Even if you have a lot of decoration, if it's no good, then it doesn't really matter; it becomes an eyesore instead of an eyepleaser. Luckily your level's decoration and aesthetic wasn't an eyesore. The gameplay was pretty good, though there were a few annoying things. The boss was pretty well-built and looked cool.
NEGATIVES: The creature was way too easy to kill. Just a few shots from the paintinator and it's done. I didn't really even understand how you got inside the thing. Then who was the boss? It was a good boss, but I didn't understand the story in the late goings of the level.
NITPICKS: You have too many camera zones. They kept making me dizzy, switching quickly from one perspective to the next.
SUGGESTIONS:
-There were some bad parts in the gameplay. There was one stretch of the level where you were just running in a straight line and then had to pull a switch to advance. That kind of gameplay is, frankly, boring. Improve on that.
-Also, make the story clearer to understand. I'm an aspiring writer and I couldn't figure it out.
NOTES: None
OVERALL RATING: 3/5 stars; [not hearted or author-hearted]
