Re: ★ ★ The LittleBIGReview Group [Everything in One!] OPEN ★ ★

Maybe could you review my level, "Sack Mage In The Swamp?" for me?

My PSN ID is Prattz.

I know it's not perfect, but I'm thinking at least 3 stars... :smileytongue:

Here's the link to the promo thread, where you could see a video of the level. :smileyhappy:

It's my best published level. I have a better unpublished level being made. :smileywink:

Also, it's only got about 20-30 plays, I think... :smileysad:

My signature should be here. If you see this text there's somehting wrong!

Re: The LittleBIGReview Group [Everything in One!] TEMPORARILY CLOSED

[ Edited ]

One Piece vol 3 : Amazon Lily

AUTHOR (PSN ID): Kazim-Kazim23 (battlefranky)

CATEGORY: Story/Boss

DIFFICULTY: [Medium]

LEVEL LOCATION: Virginia (East of North America)

TIME OF PLAY: Approx 7 minutes

Promotional Post

PROS:

This is the third installment of the One Piece levels created by this author. The story is now set in Amazon Lily. It is an island where only women have roamed for an undetermined amount of time. Once they see something out of the ordinary (you, a sackperson), some of them consider you evil and decide to make you must fight against them. I did my homework and searched for a website where I could view all the episodes regarding the title. I watched episodes 408 through 415. This being the first time I watched the series I must say that the author did a pretty good job. The author's overall skills have improved. One of these aspects is evident by his specific scene selections to explain the story. Even if I would have not seen the episodes, the story is able to be understood and comprehensible. All the characters are now labeled so it helps the story a lot. Another thing that was improved was the attention to detail to the environment. This was achieved through the help of stickers and decorations. It is visible in the forest and in the exterior/interior parts of the castle. Added details that pertain to the story like the hole on the ground at the beginning and the newspaper add with Ace at the end is a bonus for any fan. The characters have maintained their incredible expressions due to the author's undying dedication to them. The icon is nicely made and the level description well written.

CONS:

The content of the author's levels has improved, but the gameplay has more or less stayed the same. Like the previous installments, you typically walk around and have a bit of gameplay that includes jumping and boss battles. Even though the author has been making characters for a while now it comes as a surprise to me that movements have not been added to them yet.

NITPICKS:

  • Slang and wrong grammar is found throughout the whole level.

OVERALL RATING:  3/5  :smileyindifferent::smileytongue::smileywink: Worth Playing! [level and author not hearted]

SUGGESTIONS:

  • As it has been pointed out before, the grammar always seems to get in the way. Try to use proper grammar so that it does not take away credit from the level. It could be costing you hearts since it makes it look a bit unprofessional. Some of them are simply due to that some words need capitalization. Read the following and fix them when you can:
  1. In level description, it will look much better like this (If you have reached your maximum character/letter count then make is resemble this as close as possible): "Sent by Kuma, Amazon Lily is a jungle island inhabited by the Kuja. Their village is located inside a mountain, but time is running out when you find out your brother Ace is going to be executed. The only person that could help you is Boa!! *1 Player*".
  2. Aphelandra: Wow, you're a tiny one! You should find something to eat.
  3. Aphelandra: You can move the bed around of you want (R1)
  4. Margaret: Pisst! I'm going to help you escape! Jump on the switch and press R1.
  5. Sweetpea (Not sweatpea): He's escaping. Shoot him!!!
  6. Boa: How dare you trespass on my land?!
  7. Boa: For trespassing, I order you to the battle arena where you must fight my two sisters!
  • To reinforce what happens at the beginning of the level where the player falls in the hole, you should add four small holes to complete the bear paw mark that is seen in the episode.
  • Once the player smashes the ground rocks should be emitted upward and to the sides to make the illusion of an impact. Emitters are slightly tricky to use initially, but it gets pretty easy after a while. I recommend that you play around with the functions and try to add this suggestion.
  • Add two magic mouths to explain what happened here at the beginning as well. These two magic mouths quotes directly from the series as you have done before. The first one should have: "I survived..Doesn't seem like I survived because Im rubber". The second magic mouth then should say: "but what's this things thing that looks like a bear's footprint?". Make sure to add a camera angle to this second magic mouth so that it shows the footprint from a top view.
  • Add cracks inside the prison cell so that it looks like the episode.
  • Aphelandra did not have her giant sword. I would add it.
  • You should start to give movement to your characters so that they look more vivid.
  • Add curtains and chandeliers to the palace at the end of the level so that it also looks more like the episode too.
  • Add a skull sticker to the bedpost so that it also looks like the one that appears in the series.
  • To help promote your level, update your promotional post with the level's name and some photos.
