Whilst in the process of putting to service logic, one must use logical logic logically in order to abstain from committing a logically logical fallacy in a logical way. Yes, indeed.

When dividing by zero, 0=1=2. Because you needed to know.

I have taken the liberty to review: "Cardbord Mountain" by septamus112.

PROS: The level creator knows a great deal about the corner editor and it is evident.  The oddly-made angles made this look like a real mountain.  The gameplay was not repetitious in any way.

CONS: The levels materials were poorly chosen.  I know it was themed with cardboard, but it wasn't vibrant or unique.  It seemed placed in to get away with not having 5-8 materials chosen.  Even with the cardboard theme, the sponge was poorly chosen.  You should have selected basic sponge for the theme you went for.

NITPICKS:

*before the part with the visible sensor switch, you can fall behind the mountain and get stuck there.  Fix this.

*The clouds were unnecessary  for your theme.

FINAL NOTE:

3/5 stars (not hearted or author hearted)

THE INVASION (FINAL VERSION)

AUTHOR: gelonhair

DIFFICULTY: [Hard]

CATEGORY: Other

POSITIVES: This level is about the Helghast invasion, the soldiers pouring out everywhere, plasma balls flying.  While this level didn't capture the visual fidelity or the complete tension of Killzone 2 and the invasion of Helghan, it was pretty hectic with all the enemies, and yet it never became frustrating.  It was fun, frantic, and good.  The right selection of enemies--although they should be original/custom-made--combined with the landscape to create solid gameplay that anyone can enjoy.  I liked the sniper/automatic rifle part, and wonder why more of it wasn't used in the level.  That rifle was exhilirating to use, I have to say.  If this level is polished a bit more, I could raise it to a higher rating, I believe.

NEGATIVES:

-At the beginning with the three toy soldiers and the checkpoint, it's difficult to reach the checkpoint by climbing over the soldiers.  Create a more accessible route.

-I suggest not using Mm-made objects.  The tanks and turrets in the level, plus the guns that lower down from the ceiling, were from the MGS pack, or very, very similar to those in the MGS pack.  Create something original.  What Mm makes isn't the end-all-be-all.  If everything is custom in the level, it shows the player that the creator really put a lot of time and effort into it.

-After pulling the switch to blow up two turrets, in what I believe is a bunker, the platform that brings the player back up to ground level is a proximity switch set to on/off.  I suggest setting it to directional.

-Okay, this will be hard to describe...after destroying the large tank on the bottom floor of a building and reaching the elevator, the ceiling-turret on the third floor of the building doesn't disappear when both brains are shot.  I suggest simply replacing this faulty turret with another.

-There is a 3-way switch on the elevator in the building mentioned above set to on/off.  I suggest setting the switch to directional.

-The visuals, while adequate, weren't the best.  I'm not talking Post-Apocalyptic-by-anpostteller-quality visuals, but something more than what's there now would be better than what's there now.  Put in more stickers, decorations, custom objects.  Particularly the background and foreground were too empty for my liking.  Turn your level into eye candy and the plays will shoot up.  Usually.  :smileywink:

NITPICKS:

-This is more a question of decency, but I suggest not having "plz heart this level and me" in the description.  It's counteractive and psychologically unsound...that is, most people will see that and consciously not heart you or the level.

-Look over the spelling and grammar throughout the level.  It's unprofessional to not have correct spelling and grammar.  For example, after clearing out the area under the ship at the beginning and moving left, the speech bubble there has two errors: "gotten" needs to be put after "just," and "they" should be "the."  It's unbecoming of the level to have bad spelling and grammar.

-The three Helghan soldiers after the speech bubble mentioned above aren't glued to the ground.

SUGGESTIONS:

-Consider, look into, or implement the negatives and nitpicks.

NOTES: None

OVERALL RATING: 3/5 stars; [not hearted or author-hearted]

In Search of Treasure

AUTHOR (PSN ID): BlawYourHamster

CATEGORY: Platformer/Story

DIFFICULTY: [Medium] - [Hard] - [Extreme]

DURATION: Approx 10-12 minutes

LEVEL LOCATION: South Atlantic Ocean (East Of South America)

PROS:

You are a sea voyager in search for treasure. You are directed to a bar where an anonymous pirate hands you a map just as the red coats start their oppressive persecution. Seeing as you have nowhere to flea, you take a plunge via a well. From this point, you must swim through and out a dynamic underwater maze to reach your pirate ship outside. I will openly admit that this level has gameplay that I can only wish to have experienced in the POTC pack. Do not get me wrong, the POTC level pack was nice, but it's nothing like this. The hazards, obstacles and puzzles are really well designed thus providing a broad and varied gameplay. No space was left unused as it can be appreciated in the photos placed below. The custom made levers look great. I enjoyed the opening segments where the pirates slides the map to the side and the redcoats come out of the barrels. The sound effects placed on the beer mugs where a nice touch. I had loads of fun searching for all the hidden prize bubbles that were distributed. They are also well hidden and surely to be considered pieces of treasure and gold for the level of explorers.

CONS:

The level does provide some degree of difficulty. While in single player, one tends to be more relaxed about it, but in multiplayer the lives from the checkpoints seem to dissipate rather quickly. This can be attributed to the tightly constructed hazards and obstacles. Being so tightly knit, one tends to get spiked a lot. What also affects the gameplay is the amount/placement of lanterns that light up the path. They tend to get in the way as the player swims. The level in actually is not long, but the difficulty adds playing time to it

NITPICKS:

  • Grabable barrel at the beginning is noticeably made out of disappearing material.
  • The 2nd lever close to the rotating wooden platforms at the end was hard to pull. The lever Im referring to is the one that is upside down on the right hand side.
  • I believe that the level contains some Mm made objects like the main vessel and one of the building structures.

NOTES:

I played the level on three occasions. Two by myself and once with my brother.

Originality 3.5/5

Creativity 4/5

Sounds 3.5/5

Visuals 4/5

Design 4.5/5

Gameplay 4.5/5

Replay 3.5/5

OVERALL SCORE: 4/5  :smileyindifferent::smileytongue::smileywink::smileyhappy: Very Good! [level and author hearted]

SUGGESTIONS:

  • I believe that some levers do not have sound effects. These are the first ones that appear underwater if Im not mistaken. If they do have a sound, it is barely heard. Make sure to verify them.
  • Place a photo/sticker over the barrel at the beginning so that it cover the disappearing material that was utilized to create it. At the same time, it will help the barrel look like it's made out of wood.
  • I believe that the ship and one of the buildings were pre-made objects from Mm. Please correct me if Im wrong. If not and when you can, create your own objects since it adds visible dedication placed by the author. If Im incorrect, please notify my and I will make the proper alterations to the Originality score.
  • Try to rearrange or redistribute the lanterns placed underwater so that it does not deprive the player of adequate gameplay. If they are intended to do exactly that, add difficulty :smileywink: , then leave them where they are.
  • Check if lever mentioned an tweaked so that it's not so tight. The first times I played it  I thought was broken.
  • Decorate the scoreboard at the end. Feels like you placed a lot of heart in the level, but the scoreboard seemed to get no dedication. A couple of decorations and objects should do the trick.

Hope this is the right place to request a review, but could somebody please review "Colourless Haiku Lizard Ray Wheel Super Bagel" by TubaDude49(Me). It would be greatly appreciated. By the way, you can completely ignore the "point room" inside of the wheel, its completely optional for people who like that sort of thing.Edit-Just remembered to mention that the level is located in Brazil on the map, or close to it.
