Thank you for the review.  I'll try to work on those.  If you're referring to the element symbols at the very beginning those are made of disslove that is activated by stickers you get in the upcoming levels giving you access to the fifth level.  There is supposed to be a sound on the helicopter, I'll look at that and try to add some movement.  The other sound things should be easy to do, and I'll try to some of the lighting things.  Also the large volcano does have an explosion type noise when it launches.  Thanks again.  :smileyhappy:

Whilst in the process of putting to service logic, one must use logical logic logically in order to abstain from committing a logically logical fallacy in a logical way. Yes, indeed.

When dividing by zero, 0=1=2. Because you needed to know.

@ darkserpent08

Yes, you are indeed correct in regards to the large volcano sound, but I believe that the smaller one lacks this aspect. Also, I suggest that adding crack stickers to the large volcano could make it look more detailed. The crack stickers are from the Metal Gear Solid pack so if you bought it make sure to add them. I will add this suggestion to the review now incase you decide to print it out and use it as a possible guide.

Re: The LittleBIGReview Group [Everything in One!]

Artic

AUTHOR (PSN ID): Vex_Doppel

CATEGORY: Platformer/Story

DIFFICULTY: [Medium]

DURATION: Approx 13 minutes

LEVEL LOCATION: Very Soon

Promotional Post

PROS:

This level is really well rounded. As the title implies, the author introduces you to his greatly rendered 3D artic world. On most occasions, the 3D layer glitch feels forced into a level, but this author made it in such a way that it fits perfectly with the environment. You emerge from a great looking igloo surrounded by squawking penguins. Further ahead, two penguins inform you of the predicament that all the artic animals are currently undergoing. The Sea Lion King has been stealing fish and you must stop him. With this task at on your knitted hand, the gameplay is varied as you traverse the cold wilderness jumping over ice pillars, running through a maze, mountain platforms, slides and caves with the help of all the artic creatures as you make your way to the fish extraction factory. Some of these creatures include different types of penguins, bears, owls, a walrus and killer whales. It's was great to see all of them help you out in their own unique way. He utilized some stickers from the Vera Bee sticker pack to create them. The custom made creatures, like some of the polar bears, the walrus, the owl and killer whales, really bring the level to life amongst all the other factors that were implemented by the author. The trees are from the Christmas sticker pack and the author made great use of them. The Eskimo in the level looks well made. The use of the stone material was well applied in every area that it was used. An attention to detail, like making the killer whale deploy bubbles out of its blowhole, was a nice touch. The color selected for the underwater segments does make it feel like it actually freezing. The Northern Lights look awesome as well. The animation that the author implemented to them is great. Once at the fish extraction factory, you come face to face with the BIG Sea Lion King. A nifty looking chase seen takes place. Will you be able to stop the creature from his despicable plan or will you become its lunch? It is up to you noble do'gooder!

CONS:

Sincerely, I could not find anything worth mentioning here about the level

NITPICKS:

  • The tail of the Walrus is rather difficult to use. I died on two occasions.

SUGGESTIONS:

  • Add some score bubbles in the level. You are creative so add them wherever you see fit.
  • Within the first pillars or platforms, I would add ice cracking sound effects. There are non at the beginning.
  • Im not quite sure, but try to apply wind sound effects if there are none. It would help set the ambiance.
  • Try to find an appropriate Orca or killer whale sound effect. Such a large creature deserves to have a sound so that it add presence to it.
  • The blue deadly gas underwater seems preset/shaped. Make it look more irregular so that it feels like it is part of the environment and not something placed purposely. You could also just make it bigger so that its clear sides are not visible

Re: The LittleBIGReview Group [Everything in One!]

@Towers:  I do have the MGS pack.  That is a good idea, didn't think of it for some reason.  Anyway, I checked and there was a helicopter sound.  I have also added more sounds to the large vocano, a slight lighting change there, plunge sounds in the water area, and an eerie wind sound in the cloud area (not published yet).  Once again thank you and keep up the good work.

  • Really? I thought I had enough score bubbles. I'll think about that one.
  • Within the first pillars or platforms, I would add ice cracking sound effects. There are non at the beginning.
  • Hmmm... if I can I will. I think I tried before and ran out of thermo. I redid some things so maybe I can add them.
  • Im not quite sure, but try to apply wind sound effects if there are none. It would help set the ambiance.
  • This was actually planned, but again, I wasn't able to implement lack of thermo.
  • Try to find an appropriate Orca or killer whale sound effect. Such a large creature deserves to have a sound so that it add presence to it.
  • I've actually completely reworked the killer whale in my next level. Sounds lke an Orca now and moves much more fluidly and realsticly. I want to put my new one in Acrtic but I'm not sure if my thermo can handle it.
  • The blue deadly gas underwater seems preset/shaped. Make it look more irregular so that it feels like it is part of the environment and not something placed purposely. You could also just make it bigger so that its clear sides are not visible.
  •  This is true, I should go back and fix up the blue gas.

Just to let you know, at one point I couldn't add one single corner, let alone sound or anything. My thermo was completely gone. I went back and cut alot of corners, literaly. So I may be able to add some stuff back in like mentioned above. Thanks for the review.

EDIT: Really, you got killed by the Walrus tail? hmm... Where you standing underneath it or inside of it. Iv'e never had a problem. I'll look into it.

Rusted 1: the Rescue Mission

AUTHOR (PSN ID): countruby

CATEGORY: Platformer

DIFFICULTY:[EASY] [Medium]

DURATION: Approx 8-10min

Summary : three years ago, a thriving city was struck by a weird force.  now with most of the pollulation dead or having evacuated. you are sent back to the city to restore power.

PROS:

i really liked this level alot, every platformer mechanic worked well and the scenery fit well with your story. i like the simplicity of the whole level too. nothing was so over complicated that it pulled away from the game.

CONS:

  • maybe over simplified layout.
  • really dark, but lol the city does't have power.. hard to pull that off. but at time was hard to see where you were going, and find the switchs you need.
  • i don't think i found any suvivors.

NITPICKS:

  • there is some water parts that are really dark and hard to find your way around.
  • 2 or 3 parts when you hav to atack a bot. you have gass underneath the platform, which is too high and kills people cheaply.

suggestions:

  • fix the gas maybelower it a bit.
  • have little more lights in the water parts.
  • try to add a part in that takes you off the main path to save some suvivors.

Originality 3.5/5

Creativity 3.5/5

Sounds 4/5

Visuals 3.8/5

Design 4/5

Gameplay3.8/5

OVERALL SCORE: 3.8/5  is a good platformer that could be awesome with some adventurous parts in it  [level and author not hearted]

Re: ★ ★ The LittleBIGReview Group [Everything in One!] TEMPORARILY CLOSED ★ ★

Great, thanks a lot scdenley! I'm glad you liked it.

I'll add some more lights in the next time i'm toying with it, and about the survivors, that was a part planned for the next level in the series, with extra rewards depending on how many you save.

Thank you very much

The Mysterious Planet

AUTHOR (PSN ID): Camden1

CATEGORY: Platformer - puzzler

DIFFICULTY:[Medium] [Hard]

DURATION: Approx 12-20 min

Summary : You crashed landed on a mysterious planet, time to explore. take a bit of lost ( t.v) and a great game like metroid, and you have mysterious planet. a planet with oddities you must discover, in order to get back home.

PROS:

i will go down saying this is my favorite little big planet createdlevel ever, hands down. you really have to explore this world, as you can only gain access to some areas, until you have aquired the correct items, aka, grapplen hook, which will allow you to access new parts of the planet.  this set up really is not point A to point B. it layed out so you go explore the go back to the begining to unlock something to continue your adventure. much in the same way you play metriod. this is a beautiful planet. that draws you in and want you to play more.

CONS:

  • the boss is crazy hard lol.
  • sometimes i wasn't sure if i was going the right place. i also mised the green gates. i swear i explored everywhere.

NITPICKS:

  • explain to the player that the sheild you have on the boss battle is actually your gun too.

suggestions:

  • none.
